The main feature of this kind of supports is to support very high loads while absorbing the horizontal displacements of the supporting structure. Their use also allows a great anti-seismic protection (able to filter the transmission of shocks and vibrations deforming, without undergoing morphological alterations that compromise the function) thanks to the remarkable elasticity of the rubber and steel sheets that are commonly used as an anti-vibration insulation in the suspension of: machinery, buildings, prefabricated sheds, bridges and in general on all high kinetic energy materials.
